first have a look at
http://www.suse.de/oracle
and read the LVM Paper ;)

second, have a look a the rights for your devices
nobody! is allowed to write
root is allowed to read and execute
and disk is allowed to read and execute

Right, there are no rights... ;))

Do an chown oracle.dba and a chmod 664 on the devices
and all should work.
